The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course prepares Scouts and adult leaders to recognize, assess, and manage medical and traumatic emergencies in remote or outdoor environments where access to professional medical care or rapid transportation is limited. This course meets Boy Scouts of America requirements for high‑adventure activities such as Philmont, Northern Tier, and other backcountry outings. Prerequisites: Participants must be 14 or older. CPR/AED certification is required for this course.

CPR/AED training is required for this course. You will be asked to provide proof at the start of the class. If you are not CPR/AED certified you can register for an online training course for $20. The online portion of the course must be completed prior to arrival Saturday. The in-person practical session will take place at 6:30 AM Saturday. eLearning materials will be emailed the Monday prior.
